Overview
The Calendar feature provides a way to keep track of your team's games, practices, meetings, and other important events in one centralized location for the users on your team. This guide walks you through everything you need to know on how to use this feature effectively.
Access & Navigation
Who can use the Calendar?
The Calendar is a team-based feature. It always shows events for the team you currently have selected in the app.
- View-only access – You can see events but cannot create or modify them.
- Manage access – You can add, edit, delete, and move events.
If you can’t access the Calendar at all, your account may not have permission.
How to open the Calendar
- Log in to WatchGameFilm.
- Open the Apps section.
- Select Calendar.
At the top of the page, you'll see navigation icons, a help button, and a breadcrumb trail.
Calendar Views & Navigation
Available Views
- Day – Shows a single day’s schedule.
- Week – Full 7-day week overview.
- Work Week – Monday–Friday only.
- Month – Grid-style monthly calendar.
- Agenda – List of upcoming events.
Moving through time
- Use arrows to move forward/backward.
- Use Today to jump to the current day.
- Select dates directly from the date picker.
Times follow your browser’s local timezone.
Events
Event Details
Each event contains:
- Title
- Location
- Description
- Start & End Time
- All Day indicator
Event Colors
Events are color-coded using your team color. Agenda view uses a colored border instead of a full background.
Viewing Event Details
Click an event to open its details.
- View-only users see a read-only dialog.
- Managers see the event editor with full editing options.
Managing Events (Permissions Required)
Adding Events
- Double-click a time slot or drag across a time range.
- Fill in event information.
- Click Save.
Editing Events
- Click an event.
- Modify fields.
- Save.
Moving & Resizing Events
- Drag events to new days/times.
- Resize using the top/bottom edges.
Deleting Events
- Open the event editor.
- Select Delete.
Help & Notifications
In-app Help Dialog
- Click the ? icon in the header.
- Read the built-in guide.
- Close the dialog to return to the calendar.
Error Messages
If an error occurs while loading or saving, an error message will appear near the top of the page. These messages may include a status code to help identify the issue and will automatically disappear after a short time unless closed manually.
FAQs
Why can’t I see the Calendar?
You may not be able to see the Calendar if your account does not have Calendar access or if your team or organization has not enabled the feature for your role.
Why can’t I add or edit events?
If you cannot add or edit events, your account likely has view-only permissions. You may need to contact a team administrator if editing rights are required.
Why are events missing?
Events may be missing if you are viewing the wrong team or if your current calendar view (such as Day, Week, or Month) does not include the timeframe you are expecting.
I received an error message — what should I do?
If you receive an error message, try refreshing the page. If the error continues, take note of the status code shown in the message and contact support for additional help.
